Extended Street Parking Exceptions - April 15 to November 15

Extended Parking Exceptions provide exemptions for specified vehicles from the "Maximum 5 hour Street Parking" and "No Parking Between 2:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m." by-laws.  Extended Parking Exceptions are only issued between April 15 and November 15 each year.

In order for a vehicle to qualify for an Extended Parking Exception all of the following conditions must be met:

  1. All vehicles belonging to the home must have used all of their regular 18 days of parking exceptions (or have them booked) prior to an extension being requested.
  2. Residents must be using their garage to park a vehicle.
  3. Applications must be submitted 5 business days prior to the extension date being requested.
  4. Applications must be requested for dates between April 15 and November 15.

Please note:

Parking extension requests are considered on an individual basis and may include situations such as:

  • Relatives staying with family due to a delay in their house construction
  • Emergency situations
