Compliance Audit Request

Use this form to request an audit of the campaign expenses for candidates in the 2018 election. 

Requests to audit the expenses for the positions of Mayor, Local and Regional Councillors, and Trustees will be submitted to the Town of Milton.  Requests to audit expenses for the position of Regional Chair will be forwarded to the Halton Regional Clerk.

Distribution and Cost Recovery

This application will be shared with the candidate, the Joint Compliance Audit Committee, the auditor chosen to investigate this application (if applicable), Town Council and will be posted on the Town’s website. If this application is forwarded to an auditor and the auditor’s report concludes that there was no apparent contravention of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and the Joint Compliance Audit Committee finds there are no reasonable grounds for this application, Town Council is entitled to recover the auditor’s costs from you.
